Building a strong vocabulary is key for academic success in high school and college. Students with a large vocabulary have better comprehension in challenging reading, write better papers, and perform significantly better on standardized tests.

This program helps students expand vocabulary in two ways. First, students learn a step-by-step strategy for learning new words they encounter and actively incorporating them into their vocabulary. Second, students work through the Word Power vocabulary workbook that teaches them to analyze prefixes, suffixes, and Greek and Latin roots.

Participants in this program learn over 200 words that commonly appear on the SATs and ACTs tests.
