Your child will read independently in some of the best books ever written for young readers. The books are at the right level of difficulty, and the teacher will provide the support and encouragement to ensure that your child experiences success. Your child will come away from the program more fluent, confident, and motivated to read.

Parents receive guidance for choosing the best books for their child after the program is over. You'll receive a Reading Development Booklist with great books organized by level of difficulty, and an individualized Book-Level Recommendation to help you select excellent books for your child to read throughout second grade.

In class, your child will read five of the best books ever written for young readers.

Your child will also receive two books to keep and read at home.
